At the heart of Akuety is the enduring partnership between our founding directors — a partnership that mirrors the way we work with our customers and team members every day.
Vince and Denym have worked side by side for over a decade, collaborating across roles before co-founding Akuety in 2019. With personal lived experience of disability and a shared passion for creating meaningful change, they’ve dedicated their careers to building technology that serves the sector — and the people within it.
Vincent Buitenbos
Managing Director of Technology | Co-Founder
With over 20+ years of experience in software development, working across a wide variety of industries. For the last 15+ years, he’s been primarily focused and passionate about the disability and social welfare space, using technology to drive real innovation and positive change. He loves what he does and thrives on pushing boundaries, always challenging himself and his team to think differently and achieve the extraordinary. When he’s not immersed in tech, he’s a proud dad, a loving husband, Fortnite player and — in his own words — a pretty good guy too.
Denym Noke
Managing Director of Business | Co-Founder
With over 20+ years of experience in the disability and community sectors, Denym has worked across a range of roles, from frontline support worker to director-level leadership. His deep operational insight led him to consulting, where he identified a critical need: a software solution designed with the customer experience at its core. Denym understands firsthand what it takes to deliver care, and how powerful data can be when used to drive decisions, innovation, and better outcomes. His transition into technology marked a shift from working in providers to working with them — building smart, human-focused solutions that simplify complexity. A proud Dad of two, Denym values time as the most precious resource, and he’s made it his mission to help others reclaim it, whether for business growth or family life. He’s passionate about turning complex workflows into intuitive tools, and regularly shares his insights as a dynamic public speaker and podcast host.
